ECurt, Future-proof I like that I can export my entire Bear library to a.bearbk file that is actually a zip with the contents in a plain-text readable textbundle format. Sync across devices works fine so far is another form of backup. I think the Bear has all of the portbility advantages of using a text editor, but with the formatting/linking/organization features of products using a propreitary file format. My one nitpick is that Bear shows a blue underline under words that have been spell-corrected. This makes sense in case you just pressed space and did not notice the auto-correct. But when you.choose. a corrected word, then I wish the blue underline was not there.

After using Bear for several months, I've come to appreciate markdown quite a bit more. At first, it was hard to get used to an an annoyance. There was also a new theme released which made the markdown symbols much lighter and less intrusive.

That being said, there are some improvements that could be made with certain things. For example, it would be nice to be able to have certain words be simple hyperlinks, without having to have the whole markdown syntax for the link in the middle of your sentence. It would be nice if in code snippets the name of the language you are using was much lighter (after the '```'). So, all in all, it's a great app, and when they release the web version, it's going to be an even better experience for the user to access notes anywhere.
